2023 Petit Verdot

Winemaking Notes:The Petit Verdot grapes were hand harvested on November 16, 2023. The fruit was sorted into fermentation bins and soaked on skins for two days before fermentation began. Once fermentation started each bin received punch downs twice daily. On December 10, 2023, the wine was pressed off skins into a tank. The wine was then transferred into French and American oak barrels (16% new oak) for malolactic fermentation and aged for 19 months.

Tasting Notes: Our first ever vintage of Petit Verdot, this deeply coloured red is complex and elegant. A rich and earthy nose of cassis, blackberry jam, dried
blueberry, forest floor, toasted almond and a hint of caramel. The palate is silky with a soft texture framed by refined, soft tannin and delicate acidity. Flavours
include plum, black currants, lavender and fresh thyme with a juicy berry finish and subtle oak.
