2023 Unoaked Chardonnay

Vineyard: Hemeris Vineyard, Beamsville Bench (Chardonnay); Turnbury Vineyard, Four Mile Creek (Chardonnay Musqué)

Vintage: A cool, long vintage with flavour developing slowly and evenly late into the season, resulting in wines with concentration, moderate alcohol and high acidity.

Winemaking: 82% Chardonnay from 40-year-old vines at Hemeris Vineyard and 18% Chardonnay Musqué from Turnbury Vineyard. The grapes were fermented separately in stainless steel at cool temperatures and aged on lees for 8 months for added texture and complexity.

Description: An intense and focused Chardonnay with lemon curd, lime leaf and nectarine over a slightly tropical background. The palate showcases honeydew, grilled pineapple, stone fruit and subtle minerality with lemon meringue and a crisp finish.
