On the nose, ripe plum, mulberry, strawberry, and blackberry combine with coffee, cocoa nib, baking spices and light oregano tones. A full-bodied, rich and structured palate brings cassis, strawberry, mulberry and moss/bramble layered over cured meat, cumin, tan-leather and graphite. The tannic structure is a quite pronounced but soft this vintage, reflecting the warmth of vintage. A good decant is recommended is highly recommended! This wine can easily last 9-10 years or more in your cellar. Pairs well with anything full-flavoured, from steak and barbecue to cured meat and hard cheeses.
