Greetings from Babyland… as you may know already, little Neva Marie Mottiar was welcomed into this world on September 18th, at 8:10 pm. She weighed in at a petite 6 pounds 9 oz. THANK GOD!

I had gone to the hospital on Friday afternoon with some minor contractions via my good friend and yours, Karen Black. This is a true test of friendship because I’m pretty sure Karen is not the hospital going type,  especially to be stuck in the baby ward. She is a real trooper. ( Karen likes babies wrapped up and clean, not in the birthing process).

This was 3:30 Friday afternoon, contractions at 8 minutes apart.

3 hours later I was at the 5 minute stage. Things were going quickly I thought.

20 so hours later, I was still at 5 minutes. Not so quick after all. I was exhausted and pained. At  around 5 pm Saturday I was finally able to have the epidural (why not everyone opts for these I do not know) I was also induced, and two hours later,  I gave birth to daddy’s little girl.

She really is the spitting image of her daddy, except for the mustache. (His, not hers.)

12 days later, all is well on the home front. She is healthy happy little girl. Eating, sleeping, and pooping. She’s less than two weeks old, so really there is nothing much more to report.Neva Marie Mottiar

Thanks to all my Good Earth friends and staff for all the encouragement the weeks leading up to Neva’s birth.  I will be dropping in from time to time to see my family at TGE,  hope to see you there.

Hugs and Kisses from Isa, Neva, and Shiraz!
