Got to hit the sack and catch some shut eye. Good friend Elizabeth Baird is coming down tomorrow to make some yummy old fashioned, 100% natural, super deeeelicious apricot jam with me. This jam is the extended Novak family favourite hands down! Elizabeth has been a fan of my jams since my time when I “jammed” for my farm market at Lakelands Orchards some 15 years ago — a lifetime and a few disastorous relationships ago. Our mutual friend Rachel Van Nostrand who lived in St. Anns was my inspiration in the world of “jammin”. She used to make tons of jam each year from Niagara fruit and sold it to All the Best Fine Foods in Toronto. Fond memories and good times. Can’t wait to share some laughs with Elizabeth and then share a lunch out in the Twenty Valley! Hope it’s not as humid as it has been these past two days.
