2020 was an absolutely stunning, sunny, warm vintage that produced lovely, ripe red wines. The nose showcases ripe raspberry, strawberry, blackcurrant, mulberry and blackberry, with a background of tobacco leaf, oregano, pancetta, and sweet basil poking out in the background. The palate is full-bodied and rich with more blackberry and ripe blueberry layered over smoked meat, leather, earth, and moss, with baking spices, dark chocolate, and coffee heading toward the very long finish. This Cabernet Franc can definitely age for 8-10 years, or decant and enjoy now! Pairs well with anything from cured meat and hard cheeses to BBQ.
