Yes! We do our best to accommodate you if we can.
Why do you sometimes have empty tables but say that you can’t seat us?
Sometimes there’s a no-show or a last minute cancellation, in which case we have to rely on walk-ins to fill that table. But the bigger reason is that we don’t want to rush our guests, so everyone gets their table for around 2 hours. That means if a reservation ends at 12:30 we may not have a reservation at that table until 2:30 pm. We don’t want to jam someone in for only 90 minutes so that table will sit empty until the reservation shows up. Trust me, we want all our tables full every second of every day, but seating reservations is playing Tetris with tables. Sometimes a few of them sit empty for the greater good.
Why can’t we sit outside sometimes on a sunny day?
At times we have very strong winds that make setting our tables outdoors a hazard. We love to have guests outdoors but we have to be mindful of flying glassware. Believe me, we want to have our guests enjoying our beautiful property!
Is there a wine tasting fee?
Yes, as a small craft producer we have to charge an $8 fee for a flight of 3 wines. This fee is waived with the purchase of $25.
Is The Good Earth a “child friendly” destination?
As a winery focused bistro we are by definition an adult destination. While we welcome wine and food enthusiasts with children we do not have a “children’s menu” or playground. The Good Earth is a busy property and a working farm so we request that visiting children are supervised at all times.
